Upgrade of the student email system

This is critical information regarding your University email and applies if you are:

  • A continuing student
  • A returning student
  • A student who is leaving this year

The IT department will be migrating your University of Roehampton mailbox to Microsoft Office 365  between the 1st August– 3rd August 2014.   During the migration, access to your email will be uninterrupted unless you happen to be accessing your mailbox at the precise moment it is migrated – if this happens you may be disconnected and you should try again in 5 minutes.

We will also be providing you with 1 Terabyte Microsoft OneDrive cloud based storage to replace your N drive.  After migration your N drive data will be read only until you copy the files to your OneDrive.  You will be responsible for moving your files from your  N drive to your OneDrive.

Please note after the migration

  1. Your email address will not change.
  2. The link to access your email will be in Student MyZone
  3. All your emails, folders, personal contacts will be migrated to Office 365.
  4. You are responsible for moving your files from your N drive to your OneDrive.  Files on your N drive will remain available until 31st December 2014 when they will be deleted.
